**Your Role:** Serves as legal counsel on corporate issues related to
employment and benefits. Specializes in one or more of the following areas of
legal expertise: employment, ERISA, and employee benefits. Performs under
moderate supervision.
**Your work:**
* Provide advice and pragmatic solutions for a broad range of employment issues, including: the creation, interpretation and application of employment-related policies and procedures, consistent with state and federal requirements; personnel actions; reasonable accommodations; wage and hour legal compliance; dispute resolution; COVID-19; and remote workforce needs.
* Provide legal support for internal investigations concerning potential code of conduct or other violations of internal CSAA IG policies.
* Assist with employment litigation and agency charges involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment and accommodation under the FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII and their state counterparts.
**What would make us excited about you?**
* 4+ years of experience practicing employment law representing management at a law firm and/or in house. Experience with ERISA is a plus.
* Experience providing advice to HR and management on a broad range of employment legal issues.
* Interest in learning new areas of law and able to balance competing demands from various business partners.
* Experience interacting with federal and state agencies on employment matters.
* Ability to engage colleagues from a business as well as a legal perspective.
* Ability to work with multiple clients, establish and maintain strong relationships and provide strategic business advice.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels in the organization, business partners and senior management.
* J.D. from accredited U.S. law school and bar admission in state where practicing required.
* You may work remotely in approved states. The capability to work in the Pacific time zone is strongly preferred.
* Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds.

The national average salary range for this position is $163,000 - $181,000.
However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges
vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range
for this position across all the states we hire in is $146,000 - $217,000.
This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary
bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
