<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-16y4thd eu4oa1w0"><div> <h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first</b><br></h1> Humana is seeking an associate for a Legal Counsel role to provide support to Humana’s Medicare Part D health plan, pharmacy benefit manager, and pharmacy legal entities. <p></p> <p>Legal Counsel will support Humana by:</p> <ul> <li><p>Providing guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and protection against external risk;</p></li> <li><p>Providing guidance related to the application of fraud, waste, and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, and the Beneficiary Inducement Statute; and</p></li> <li><p>Reviewing and drafting a wide range of contracts and supporting documents for commercial and clinical activities.</p></li> </ul> <h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br> Use your skills to make an impact</b><br> <b> </b></h1> <p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li><p>Juris Doctorate, with licensing in at least one state</p></li> <li><p>Active membership in a state bar association</p></li> <li><p>A minimum of 3 years of law firm or in house experience</p></li> <li><p>Health law background</p></li> <li><p>Contract drafting experience</p></li> <li><p>Strong legal research, analytical and writing skills</p></li> <li><p>Ability to work both independently under general supervision and within a team</p></li> <li><p>Ability to work in complex organization with diverse clients at all levels of the company</p></li> <li><p>Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences</p></li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Additional Information</b></p> <p></p> <p><b><i> Work at Home Guidance</i></b></p> <p><i> To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:</i></p> <ul> <li><i> At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested</i></li> <li><i> Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership</i></li> <li><i> Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.</i></li> <li><i> Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.</i></li> <li><i> Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information</i></li> </ul> <p></p> <h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><i> Social Security Task:</i></b></h3> <h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><i> Alert: Humana values personal identity protection.
