Ice Miller is seeking a mid to senior-level associate (4-6 years’ experience) to join its environmental and insurance litigation practice in the Indianapolis office. The ideal candidate will have general business and contract litigation experience as well as an interest and/or experience in environmental recovery and insurance recovery lawsuits. The position will involve all aspects of litigation and certain aspects of environmental cost recovery law, including Indiana’s Environmental Legal Action statute and CERCLA. The successful candidate should have relevant experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. The successful candidate will also look to take ownership of the caseload and push projects to completion. The ideal candidate will: Strong knowledge of and interest in environmental and insurance law Have litigation experience including drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, and interacting directly with clients. Have experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own. Be highly motivated and a self-starter.
