Draft and prosecute patent applications, respond to U.S. and foreign office action communications, performing competitive landscape evaluations, and providing patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions. Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Technical Specialist-related occupation. Position requires thirty-six (36) months of experience in the following: 1) Patent counseling or portfolio development; 2) understanding the structure of parts based on 2D or 3D drawings; 3) identifying the design of robotics in control theory; 4) applying knowledge of the manufacturing process, such as forming, forging, cutting, and joining, in both traditional and nontraditional ways; and 5) applying mechanical technical skills to different areas (robotics, automotive, heat exchangers and furnaces, food and beverage, sports and fitness equipment, household appliances, and medical devices).
