As a Corporate Counsel you will be supporting our commercial transactions group, reporting to Director, Legal – Commercial Transactions. <br> <br> In this role you will develop strategies around negotiating agreements that span the full scope of Clorox’s commercial transactions' practice, including related to procurement, logistics, marketing, and licensing. In addition, you will help driving strategic initiatives related to the contracting process at Clorox. Working closely with your colleagues in Legal and business partners across functions and business units. <div></div> <div> In this role, you will: </div> <div></div> <ul> <li> Work on strategies for drafting, negotiate, and review legal agreements on a wide range of commercial transactions.</li> <li> Advise business partners on a variety of legal questions that arise from these transactions as well as relationships with our customers, suppliers, manufacturers, licensees, and more.</li> <li> Help transform our contracting practices at Clorox through cross-functional critical initiatives.</li> </ul> <ul> <li> Develop and provide Legal 101 and contracting trainings for our business partners.</li> <li> Communicate meaningful projects and issues up to Legal leadership and across to Legal team and other business partners.</li> <li> Assist on special projects as needed.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> What we look for: </div> <div> Experience </div> <ul> <li> 3-5 years of experience as an attorney at a law firm and/or in-house at a multinational company.</li> <li> Experience in transactional work, ideally including drafting and negotiating agreements.</li> <li> Specific experience in commercial transactions, licensing, and/or sophisticated commercial litigation a plus.</li> <li> Experience balancing multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment with proven skills in prioritizing projects.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Skills </div> <ul> <li> Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.</li> <li> Ability to transform sophisticated information into clear, concise and actionable communications for business partners.</li> <li> Strong organization skills and attention to detail.</li> <li> Be a self-starter, approach work with a sense of urgency.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Education </div> <ul> <li> BA/BS and JD degrees required.</li> <li> Member of the California State Bar or eligible to register under the California State Bar in-house counsel program.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> #LI-Hybrid </div> <div></div> <div> Workplace type: </div> This role will be expected to work onsite three days a week as part of our new hybrid work model, ensuring a balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. <div></div> <div> We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. </div> <div></div> <div> –Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100 </div> <div> –Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100 </div> <div> –Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100 </div> <div></div> <div> All ranges are subject to change in the future.
