Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Associate (Century City)

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking litigation associate to work with the Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Group in our Century City office. This position is based in Century City; however, strong candidates will be considered in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, San Diego, or Orange County. Our Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation team includes some of the most successful trial attorneys in the country in disputes over private wealth, most notably involving trusts, decedents’ estates and conservatorships or adult guardianships. Our Private Wealth and Fiduciary litigators represent clients in cases involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty, fiduciary misconduct and fraud, misfeasance and malfeasance in estate administration, investment mismanagement, financial elder abuse, and will and trust contests. This is a great opportunity to be part of a specialized practice area which will provide the associate with: Interesting legal issues and narratives involved in the group’s cases Opportunities to become a business developer in this niche area Frequent and direct contact with clients whose lives are deeply affected by the disputes in their family A very heavy trial practice The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 1-6 years of litigation experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is preferred. Trusts & Estates litigation experience, or exposure to issues involving trusts, decedents’ estates and conservatorships or adult guardianships, is helpful but not required. Admitted to the California bar. Strong academic background from a top-tier law school and exceptional writing skills required.
