About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate (7+ years PQE) to join our Brisbane, Real Estate team. In this role you will work closely with the Construction & Infrastructure Partner, across a variety of interesting projects and industries within Australia and integrating with our global Real Estate practice. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting edge transactions and be part of an energetic, vibrant and multi-disciplinary team. On a day to day basis you will have the chance to: Draft project documentation (project agreements, construction, operation and maintenance agreements, offtake, tolling and other revenue agreements, and ancillary project documentation) Assist in the performance and delivery of work to and management of relationships with the group’s key clients Assist on the sale and purchase of infrastructure assets Participate in business development and client relationship activities Contribute to the firm’s learning and development programs in your area of specialty Access and work with our global network of lawyers and resources. About the practice Our growing Brisbane Real Estate practice support clients involved in every aspect of energy, infrastructure, and resources space through a variety of legal disciplines. We serve project sponsors and developers in power generation, renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, transportation, and social infrastructure, as well as investors, banks, manufacturers, and contractors involved in financing, building, and operating these projects. The successful applicant will ideally have 7+ years PQE experience at a well-regarded firm in its construction and infrastructure team, with demonstrated experience in one or more infrastructure procurement projects, construction contracting and have exceptional technical abilities. As a successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience in a broad range of construction and infrastructure related matters from a front end perspective. You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills and commercial acumen. A high level of client service is expected, as are well-developed communication and drafting skills are essential.
