Attorney – Labor and Employment

Eastman & Smith Ltd., an established firm with a history of longevity and stability and a committed vision for the future, is seeking experienced labor and employment attorneys in our Firm’s Toledo and Columbus offices. Our growing labor and employment practice group is looking for employment law attorneys with varied experience and skill levels to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities will include: counseling clients on practical and effective business practices; defending clients against claims filed in courts and administrative agencies involving harassment, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, safety, workers’ compensation, trade secret/non-compete issues and related matters; and representing clients in private and public sector collective bargaining. Candidates with related experience are encouraged to apply. Litigation experience preferred. Successful candidates should have the following: Licensed to practice law in Ohio Strong sense of service to our clients and colleagues. Strong legal research background and training. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. Self-awareness about strengths and weaknesses and a willingness to grow and learn. Strong sense of professionalism and work ethic. High level of organization and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues. Ability to work well in a team environment.
