Wyrick Robbins is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of relevant law firm experience on fund matters and investment transactions to join its market-leading Investment Funds practice. The group is experiencing strong growth and has particular need in its Investment Funds practice. The firm has a collegial office environment with leading practitioners on sophisticated matters at a regional, national, and even international level. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ambition and initiative and should have relevant law firm experience to assist private investment funds (as well as fund sponsors, managers, advisors, and investors) with: Equity and debt co-investments in transactions led by third party sponsors. Includes both structuring of our clients’ investments (formation of entities, etc.) and negotiation of governance and economic rights with sponsor and its advisors. Fund commitments, including review of LPAs and negotiation of side letters and other customary documentation. Sponsor-side fund formation and LP-facing work. Direct investments in operating entities, including both debt and equity. NC Bar admission (or ability to waive in) preferred. Outstanding undergraduate and law school academics. Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills required.
