The Washington, DC office of Cozen O’Connor is seeking an entry-level Paralegal for the White Collar Defense & Investigation department to begin in May or June 2024. The ideal candidate has a strong academic record, is detail-oriented and pro-active. Candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills and is comfortable prioritizing and balancing a variety of tasks assigned. Superior communication skills and working knowledge of MS Office and database applications a plus. The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced and dynamic practice. A four-year bachelor’s degree required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Document management including but not limited to review of documents, bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions, assisting in coordinating scene examinations, witness investigation, and trial preparation Develop systems to track information and assist with document acquisition, organization, review and analysis Compile information from various sources, analyze and clearly report detailed findings using charts, statistics and other tools Review documents for content Utilize computer databases to organize, store and access information; conduct basic research on LEXIS, Westlaw and other online computer assisted research databases Large case management, including electronic file management Cozen O’Connor is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
