Associate – Private Clients (Trust and Estates) Herrick, Feinstein’s New York office is seeking a junior level private clients associate with at least 2-4 years’ experience in trust and estates at reputable firm or bank. This is an excellent opportunity for growth that provides hands on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for client development. Requirements for this role include estate planning, i.e., drafting of trusts, wills, healthcare directives and powers of attorney. Basic knowledge of applicable estate and gift taxes is essential. Candidate must be proficient in estate administration procedures, including preparation of probate papers and estate tax returns, review of fiduciary income tax returns, and the settlement of financial accountings. Experience establishing, advising, and dissolving non-profit organization is a plus. Strong written and oral skills are necessary. Applicants must be admitted in New York State; admissions in New Jersey and/or Connecticut are a plus. This role is a minimum of three days onsite, ideally four days onsite. The range of base salary* the Firm reasonably expects to pay for this role is $185,000 to $215,000. The actual base salary for this role within the above range will depend upon number of years out of law-school, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
