Description
The New York office of Seyfarth Shaw is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal. This position performs a variety of paralegal duties for various attorneys. This position interacts with colleagues in a team setting and upholds the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys, paralegals and staff and observing confidentiality of client matters. Paralegal applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a strong desire to learn the fundamentals of Labor and Employment. Job Description Have professional office experience of one to three years, preferably in a law firm Labor & Employment department. Have strong customer service orientation. Possess strong organizational skills and ability to pay very close attention to detail. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, internal and external resources). Work well under pressure and remain flexible to changing priorities. Multi-task successfully in a fast-paced work environment, in order to meet competing deadlines. Problem solve, think independently and follow-through on projects with minimal supervision. Must be competent in Word and Excel and have an ability to learn how to use proprietary firm computer programs. Computer skills to include Microsoft suite, scanning, etc. Work independently and as part of a team.
