Description
Seyfarth Shaw LLP seeks an attorney to join its growing eDiscovery and Information Governance practice. Candidates should have a JD and 2-5 years eDiscovery experience. Candidates with litigation experience that includes significant exposure to eDiscovery matters will be considered. The successful candidate may work in our San Francisco or Los Angeles (Century City or Downtown) offices. Seyfarth's eDiscovery and Information Governance attorneys focus on pre-litigation eDiscovery counseling and the preservation, collection, review and production of electronic information in litigation, as well as digital forensics and information governance issues related to data security, privacy, and records management. Sample duties include developing and implementing preservation plans, responding to eDiscovery requests, drafting pleadings related to eDiscovery litigation, undertaking meet and confer negotiations, developing and implementing discovery plans, managing vendor relationships, and developing strategy and process related to document review and overseeing the same. Additional duties relate to providing advice on litigation readiness and best practices regarding records retention, data preservation and collection, and related discovery matters. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills. Formal or informal IT / Computer Science experience, technical training, certification and/or education are desired, along with a thorough knowledge of eDiscovery jurisprudence. The strongest candidates will have litigation experience, as well as experience in advanced Relativity use, EnCase or FTK, and managing large scale document review projects. Finally, applicants with workflow development skills and eDiscovery process documentation skills are desired.
