We partner with Snap team members on a wide array of matters, including privacy, product, IP, commercial transactions, corporate governance, employment acquisitions, litigation, policy, and social impact. You’ll play a key role in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts and advising on legal issues spanning the breadth of Snap’s products and services. In this role you’ll collaborate with colleagues throughout the company to develop creative solutions that manage risk, with a focus on supporting our Sales and Ad Review teams. </div> <div> What you’ll do: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret agreements covering a range of Snap’s commercial activities, including advertising sales, data processing, ad tech, consumer and business product terms, online platform terms, and partner/vendor agreements </div></li> <li> <div> Provide legal guidance and support to Snap’s Sales and Ad Review teams </div></li> <li> <div> Develop and apply policies and practices, navigating legal compliance and risk tolerance </div></li> <li> <div> Handle multiple deals and support colleagues to ensure business initiatives are completed accurately and on time </div></li> <li> <div> Provide tactical and strategic legal advice to Snap business and product leaders, including related to Snap’s advertising policies </div></li> <li> <div> Collaborate with outside counsel </div></li> <li> <div> Coordinate with colleagues from every part of the company as part of cross-functional teams </div></li> <li> <div> Handle projects at the discretion of the Commercial leadership team </div></li> <li> <div> Exercise sound judgment when negotiating key business and legal terms </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Analytical and creative approach </div></li> <li> <div> Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills </div></li> <li> <div> Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion </div></li> <li> <div> Ability to work both independently and collaboratively </div></li> <li> <div> Strong work ethic and ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines </div></li> <li> <div> Outstanding written and verbal communication and analytical skills with demonstrated strategic thinking, creativity, and risk analysis </div></li> <li> <div> Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills </div></li> <li> <div> Excellent legal and business judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously </div></li> <li> <div> Excellent interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail </div></li> <li> <div> Background working with both internal and external partners, including sales teams </div></li> <li> <div> Ability to drive collaboration and enjoys sharing of legal knowledge and expertise </div></li> <li> <div> Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization </div></li> <li> <div> Ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment </div></li> <li> <div> Ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Minimum Qualifications: </div> <ul> <li> <div> J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school. </div></li> <li> <div> Active membership in at least one United States state bar. </div></li> <li> <div> 6+ years’ of relevant in-house or law firm experience </div></li> <li> <div> Experience drafting, negotiating, and advising clients on digital ad sales, marketing, and consumer/advertising regulation </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> "Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
