Our team works closely with our fully integrated finance transactions team of over 350 lawyers globally. Our unrivalled reputation is based on our technical expertise and track record of developing and bringing to market the most innovative, ground-breaking and cutting-edge structures at the forefront of the marketplace. As a result of a growing pipeline of work we are looking to hire a Senior Associate/Counsel with global markets/derivatives experience. Working on Australian and Asian financial market products you will advise clients on a wide variety of exchange traded and OTC derivatives, credit and equity linked products, repackagings, prime brokerage, securities lending and repos. About You: Qualified lawyer with 5 or more years’ post-qualification experience advising clients on a range of derivatives products including; Netting opinions and collateral arrangements Hedging domestic and cross-border loan financing, securitisation and other financing deals Structured products and derivatives involving Australian underlying securities or collateral Local derivatives documentation assistance to banks and corporates Strong technical skills in relation to finance law Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs A commercial approach and an ability to negotiate effectively A collaborative attitude to working within large teams and with colleagues at all levels What makes Ashurst a great place to work?
