Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a 2–3 year Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join our Chicago office. Sheppard Mullin is a global Am Law 100 full-service law firm with over 1,000 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide. The Chicago office currently has over 60 attorneys who practice in a variety of areas including Labor & Employment, Business Litigation, Corporate Transactions, Privacy & Cybersecurity, and more. With more than 150 attorneys in the Labor & Employment group firmwide, Sheppard Mullin has one of the largest and most prestigious practices in the country. Our attorneys advise employers of all sizes—ranging from Fortune 100 companies to high tech and traditional business start-ups—in all aspects of employment advice and counseling, disputes and litigation, international employment and mobility, and union management relations. We have considerable expertise in all matters affecting the workplace including wage and hour, class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, employment agreements, layoffs, and restrictive covenants. We are currently recruiting for an outstanding associate with 2-3 years of employment litigation experience, including experience with trade secret and restrictive covenant matters, employee handbook and policy revision, and single plaintiff and class action work. The ideal candidate should excel in the following areas: Stellar writing skills Efficient researching skills General knowledge of court filing procedures Conducting complex fact investigation and analysis Opportunities to write briefs, support the labor and employment aspects of M&A transactions, as well as litigate trade secret and non-compete cases, are all available within our diverse and deep team.
