Description
Sheppard Mullin Richter and Hampton LLP is seeking a Corporate Attorney for a permanent, salaried position with benefits and no billable hours requirement. This is a perfect opportunity for an attorney looking to work at an AmLaw 50 firm with an excellent M&A practice and great teammates while enjoying more flexibility than a traditional partner-track position. The position involves conducting legal due diligence for M&A and securities transactions and providing other junior-level support as part of the firm’s dedicated Due Diligence Team, a trained specialty group within the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Corporate diligence attorneys also draft, review, and revise transaction and ancillary agreements, legal summaries, corporate documents and resolutions, and non-disclosure agreements. Requirements: Active member of the NY bar in good standing (or passed bar exam with admission pending). Strong academic credentials and/or relevant work experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional manner for client interactions. Ability to take ownership of discrete projects and be able to work without direct supervision. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, both on own and as part of a team.
