Meta is seeking a highly motivated attorney for an investigations role on the Cybersecurity &amp; Integrity Investigations team. This attorney will focus on our highest-priority integrity areas, such as terrorism and international criminal organizations, across key products and surfaces, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Reality Labs. The attorney must have strong investigative skills, including the ability to interview engineers and other technical experts, glean the most important facts, apply strong analytical skills, and produce recommendations to mitigate legal risks. The position requires someone who can work well with cross-functional partners, navigate ambiguity, and drive forward results in a fast-paced environment. <br> <br> <br> <b>Lead Counsel, Legal Investigations Responsibilities: </b><br> <ul> <li>Work with investigation teams to prevent abuses on Meta’s platforms and harm to users and others</li> <li> Conduct legal investigations, including targeted fact finding and legal risk analysis</li> <li> Develop risk-based recommendations to managing integrity-related legal risks</li> <li> Provide advice and counsel on integrity and security matters to investigators, engineers, and other partners</li> <li> Support the company’s efforts to advance integrity compliance and navigate an evolving legal risk landscape.</li> <li> Support and oversee information sharing efforts</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b><br> <ul> <li> J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar</li> <li> 3+ years of legal experience</li> <li> Demonstrated history of working with direct and cross-functional teams to successfully build relationships and achieve goals</li> <li> Ability to think strategically to solve legal challenges under deadline pressure</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><br> <ul> <li> Working knowledge of the Stored Communications Act</li> <li> Experience in government investigations or tech investigations</li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>About Meta:</b><br> Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
