Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people’s lives. <div></div> <div> Job Summary </div> <div> To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Corporate Counsel located in Austin, TX, San Jose, CA, or remote but willing to travel to meet in person periodically. </div> <div></div> <div> Reporting to the SVP, Deputy General Counsel, the Senior Corporate Counsel will be a strategic business partner leading and collaborating on global commercial transactions within our Reliability segment, including the growing Automotive, Health Solutions, and Industrial business units, as well as assisting with variety of day to day operational issues and their commercial legal and business resolution. Ultimately, we would like this role to become a business unit legal lead and beyond. </div> <div></div> <div> What a typical day looks like: </div> <ul> <li> Review, analyze and assist in drafting of a wide variety of foreign and domestic commercial agreements with Flex's customers covering manufacturing services, procurement of materials, intellectual property, warranty, indemnity, inventory, financing matters, and business hurdles.</li> <li> Collaborate and be a strategic business partner with internal business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure that customer agreements are aligned with business objectives and financial outcomes.</li> <li> Work across borders, time zones and cultures with a cross functional group of stakeholders.</li> <li> Understand the financial impact of deals you negotiate and track and provide insights through the lifecycle of the contract and customer relationship.</li> <li> Explain complex topics in a clear, easy to understand, high-level manner with executive-level internal clients.</li> <li> Balance governance and being a solutions provider. Leverage your voice and point of view to influence decision-making.</li> <li> Use software throughout contracting process, including review, drafting, approvals and storage.</li> <li> Be innovative in use of systems and tools in bringing our commercial contracting to best-in-class.</li> <li> Assist in the implementation and enforcement of contracting policies, directives, and strategic initiatives.</li> <li> Develop and provide legal training to internal clients.</li> <li> Support any contract interpretations/customer issues and disputes.
