POSITION SUMMARY:
</div>

The candidate will join the Legal Team and will interact with and support various groups across the Company, with a primary focus on legal advice and support for all commercial aspects of Targa’s natural gas gathering and processing midstream business segment, including contracts for the gathering and processing, purchase and sale, transportation, and storage of natural gas. This position will also partner with other attorneys across the Targa Team on various transactional and asset related matters, and will manage other projects within the Legal Team.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Negotiate and drafting agreements for the gathering and processing, purchase and sale, transportation, and storage of natural gas</li>
<li>Negotiate and drafting various midstream agreements related to gathering and processing, purchase and sale, transportation, and storage of natural gas, as well as pipeline interconnect agreements, access agreements, and real estate agreements</li>
<li>Counsel business clients regarding business arrangements and commercial agreements</li>
<li>Assist with and provide legal advice related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence activities</li>
<li>Work as a team with business clients and other attorneys to respond to commercial demands and achieve business objectives</li>

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Juris Doctorate, licensed to practice law in Texas or Oklahoma (or can become immediately eligible to be admitted to the State Bar of Texas or Oklahoma)</li>
<li>2 – 7 years of legal experience, with substantial law firm experience</li>
<li>Strong academic background</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, legal analysis, drafting, and negotiation</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic legal environment and respond quickly to commercial demands</li>
<li>Commercial, pragmatic, and flexible approach, and ability to quickly grasp complex commercial arrangements</li>
<li>Willingness to provide or experience providing legal advice to senior level business leaders</li>
<li>Ability to develop and sustain relationships with clients at all levels</li>
<li>Proven track record as a team player</li>

<li>Negotiating and drafting various midstream agreements related to natural gas liquids, crude oil, and/or other petroleum products, including agreements for the gathering, transportation (by pipeline, rail, motor carrier, and/or marine vessel), storage, terminalling, fractionation and/or processing of such products, as well as pipeline interconnect agreements, access agreements, and real estate agreements</li>
<li>Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence activities</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Federal and Texas state regulation regarding natural gas gathering and transmission</li>
<li>Negotiating, drafting, and/or administering joint venture agreements</li>
