<p><b> About the Position:</b></p>

<p><br> The In-House Attorney reports to the General Counsel and provides the company and internal clients with legal support, advice and guidance on a variety of legal matters, particularly employment and labor related matters. This position supports the company to help them understand legal options, legal requirements, compliance obligations. The In-house Attorney ensures legal conformity, minimizes legal exposure and oversees consistent adheres to law and policies.</p>

<p><b><br> Job Type: </b>Full Time (Remote)-Some travel will be involved</p>

<p><b><br> Pay</b>: $120,000-$130,000/year (Negotiable based on experience)</p>

<p><b><br> Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li> Serve as an internal resource, collaborating with HR, on employee issues, including investigations, discrimination and wage and hour matters, severance agreements, EEOC complaints and other labor related matters.</li>
<li> Draft and provide guidance on HR policies and employee handbooks.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li> Give legal advice to the company and internal clients on policies, procedures, employment and labor laws, operations, and regulatory issues, and guide them towards best practices.</li>
<li> Collaborate with management to develop efficient defense strategies.</li>
<li> Draft, review, and modify contracts, and other legal documents as required.</li>
<li> Provide legal counsel during legal proceedings, administrative board reviews, and litigations when necessary.</li>
<li> Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.</li>
<li> Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.</li>
<li> Explain legal options and bring possible outcomes or threats to management’s attention.</li>
<li> Build relationships with company and internal clients based on trust.</li>
<li> Stay informed about current legislation, changes to laws and regulations, communicating and educating the company and internal clients as needed.</li>
</ul>

<p><b><br> Education and Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li> Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.</li>
<li> Licensed to practice law and member in good standing of the state bar association in at least 1 state.</li>
<li> Minimum 3-5 years of experience in law firm setting practicing in the areas of management-side labor and employment or corporate.</li>
<li> Superb analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are crucial.</li>
