Our Corporate practice group seeks a class of 2016-2019 M&A Associate with experience representing private equity sponsors and private and public companies in M&A and other investment transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing deal teams (including coordinating with internal and external specialists) and managing signing and closing processes. Experience leading deal teams is a plus. Candidate must exhibit Akin’s core values: future-focused, diversity-minded, dedicated to excellence, service-oriented and collaborative. Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience required. Our private equity and M&A team has a long track record of leading sophisticated mergers, acquisitions and other business combinations. Our clients are private equity, hedge and sovereign wealth funds and their portfolio companies; public and private companies; boards of directors; shareholders; and individual investors. This position is required to be available to work in person. All employees are required to comply with the firm’s employment policies.
