A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join Norton Rose Fulbright’s leading Banking and Finance group in Melbourne. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you’ll gain exposure to a diverse mix of high quality banking and finance matters, presenting an excellent career development opportunity. Norton Rose Fulbright’s Banking and Finance group includes some of the leading banking and finance lawyers in Australia. The team works on a range of transactions ranging from property finance, acquisition finance and project finance, to debt capital markets, securitisation, general corporate banking and financial restructuring. Clients include the major Australian and Asian banks, top tier corporates, investment banks, fund managers and professional trustees. As part of the wider Norton Rose Fulbright network, many of the transactions the team is involved with have cross-border elements, requiring a high level of collaboration with Norton Rose Fulbright colleagues in North America, Europe and Asia. The key requirements for this role are as follows: Demonstrated experience working on banking and finance transactions gained at a reputable national or international law firm, or in-house at a leading financial institution Ability to work independently and also as a part of a team with multiple partners within the group Ability to build and grow a network and assist with business development and marketing initiatives Excellent academic transcripts 2-5 years post qualification experience The successful candidate will need to be a collaborative, driven and focused individual.
