We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Knowledge Lawyer to join the Sydney team to work closely with our Corporate M&A practice. Reporting to the Director of Knowledge the key responsibilities and requirements are; Responsibilities Maintaining existing precedents and drafting new precedents Advising lawyers and discussing the legal issues which they face in their transactions and matters Maintaining existing practice notes and drafting new practice notes Providing knowledge support to business development initiatives Preparing and delivering legal training Drafting material for external and internal publications and identifying topics of interest and likely candidates for articles Implementing the knowledge strategy of the firm by promoting the use of internal databases and search engines and by devising and implementing systems for knowledge collection (research notes, transactional documents, training material etc.) Requirements Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6 years’ experience ideally gained in a Corporate practice Strong drafting skills Experience in designing and delivering successful, interesting and innovative training programmes, targeted to the audience is ideal but not essential Ability to work with a variety of personalities across all levels of the organisation Experience in or interest in the collation, storage and delivery of knowledge Project management experience and demonstrated creativity in problem solving Excellent oral and written communication skills The successful candidate will need to be an energetic, driven and focused individual with exceptional academic achievements.
