Anielka is a Senior Associate at Fragomen's Miami office, where she primarily represents colleges and universities, as well as multinational corporations in the IT industry. In the education sector, she counsels professors, researchers and other professionals on obtaining nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including EB-1s and O-1s, as well as National Interest Waivers. She also partners with multinational corporations in the IT industry on matters related to nonimmigrant visas, including H-1Bs, L-1As and L-1Bs, as well as immigrant visas, including EB-1C petitions for executives and managers, and Labor Certifications. Anielka has more than 10 years of experience in employment-based and family-based immigration law and has represented multinational companies in various industries, including telecommunications and construction, as well as smaller businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs. Prior to focusing her practice on employment-based immigration law in 2012, Anielka primarily practiced family immigration law, drafting immigration court bench briefs, motions and Board of Immigration Appeals briefs. While studying at South Texas College of Law, Anielka was a member of the Currents International Trade Journal. She also attended Florida International University School of Law as a visiting student and completed courses at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Anielka's pro bono work has included helping an undocumented Haitian minor to obtain permanent residence through the Special Immigrant Juvenile proceedings and helping an undocumented minor to obtain employment authorization through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. She has also served as a volunteer attorney for the Law Offices of Public Defender Carlos J. Martinez, 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, Juvenile Division in Miami, Florida, where she conducted misdemeanor trails. Anielka speaks English and Spanish.
